Post Teacher Training: For My Friends That Want To Know More About Meditation

Chill's 1st 100% digital Teacher Training program is well underway with students from Seattle to Chicago. Kenya, a current Chill student, offered to share ongoing stories about her journey.

It has been a couple of weeks since meditation teacher training has ended. The six weeks of training flew by and it has left me wanting more. I’ve continued with my meditation practice pretty consistently. My partner and I wake up at 4am daily to meditate together. This really sets the tone for my day. I have been more calm in my response to things in my life that have been triggering, especially with everything that has been going on in the world. My anxiety has decreased and I’m even less agitated with others than I normally would be and I attribute that to my consistent meditation practice.

The first week that we didn’t meet as a group seemed like something was missing. The training and everyone in it had become a part of my everyday existence which was really cool and was unexpected since the training was virtual. It seemed as though the majority of the people in my cohort wanted to teach meditation. There were a few, however, who wanted this for themselves in order to have a better understanding of meditation and how it can be used in other areas of wellness.

If you were to ask me, who should take meditation teacher training? My answer would be anyone that wants to find balance in their life. It is not just for people that want to teach others, but it is also for the person that wants to deepen their own meditation practice, learn about meditation and how it can enhance their lives. If I had the opportunity, I would take the training all over again. I believe that this training has enhanced my life in ways I have just begun to explore. Thank you CHILL for allowing me to have this life-changing experience and I can’t wait to share all that I have learned to others.
